This role will support the Global Trade Compliance team in ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while ensuring that risks and opportunities are identified and managed efficiently. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the day-to-day operations and trade activities of the organization
- Provide guidance and support on global tariff classification, preferential trade programs, duty recovery and other critical import trade compliance functions.
- Assist with compliance reviews, internal self-assessments and post-entry audits
- Help build out the governance program through the creation and maintenance of trade compliance SOP’s
- Provide support for departmental training to help educate business partners on relevant trade topics
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders such as sourcing, materials, product development, finance, finished good and raw material vendors and customs brokers
- Contribute to, and support trade compliance projects and initiatives
The Global Trade Compliance team is an integral part of lululemon’s supply chain and is responsible for supporting import/export operations throughout our global network. The team contributes to lululemon’s success by ensuring efficient and on-time customs clearance of lululemon products, while leveraging duty optimization strategies and ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations. The Global Trade Compliance Specialist is a key role that will support the team with important trade compliance and optimization functions related to tariff classification, trade agreements, origin and valuation.

Job Requirements
- Experience:
Minimum of three years of relevant experience dealing with trade and customs matters with a concentration in tariff classification and preferential trade agreement qualification, solicitation and recovery
Prior experience in apparel/textiles within retail organization or brokerage/consulting firm would be an asset - Skills:
Strong analytical/investigative skills and a proven work ethic with a desire to do more than is expected
Strong project management skills
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to analyze and manipulate large and complex data sets
Previous experience using a Global Trade Management Platform (GTMP)
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and/or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) and/or Licensed Customs Broker an asset
