The Tents Regulations update the fire-safety labeling and flammability performance requirements for tents. Consequential amendments to the Toys Regulations add fire-safety labeling and flammability performance requirements for children's play tents (“toys intended to be entered by a child”).

The Regulations came into force on November 20, 2024. The Regulations include a transitional provision that allows a product compliant to the previous regulations to continue to be manufactured, imported, advertised, or sold in Canada for 2 years beginning on November 20, 2024.
